Unspoken is a fictional alternative rock band founded by four members – Bruce Keller, Connor Cromwell, Evan Adler, and Cillian Adler – whose main themes revolve around men’s mental health. The idea originated after the band members’ families had to deal with mental health in some way.
Its logo was done by using bursting paint strokes to represent the messiness of a perturbed mind, while also maintaining a clean look for readability. Its color palette was done to give a painterly, versatile, and unique feel to the band. In combination with the typography, textures, and symbolic icons pertaining to the different stages in the band’s lifetime, a faithful portrayal was achieved of different aspects of mental health that affect men in general.
